Waitrose recalls food item over 'possible health risk'
A product has been recalled from Waitrose due an undisclosed ingredient which could pose a possible risk to people's health.
Waitrose shoppers have been urged by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to check if they bought a Chinese Takeaway Bag for 2 between 21 September 2024 to 04 December 2024.
The product is being recalled because it contains molluscs, making it a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic.

Customers are being urged to check their freezers, as the product is suitable for freezing, so shoppers may have the product for longer.
The FSA has advised customers who have bought the product "do not eat" it. Customers can return the Chinese Takeaway Bag to their local Waitrose branch for a full refund.
Consumers may be allergic to anything, but it is only law for 14 allergens to be declared on any food items.
The allergens that must be declared are: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, tree nuts.
