The Walking Dead star Lennie James may be about to travel back to the show's past with his crossover appearance in prequel spin-off Fear the Walking Dead, but that doesn't mean he can't tease fans about what's in store for Morgan Jones's future.

Lennie and his Save Me co-star Stephen Graham dropped by The One Show tonight (February 20) to discuss their new project, but of course the hosts couldn't resist asking Lennie about the hit AMC show too.

"You've been in the huge international hit The Walking Dead," host Alex Jones prompted. "Didn't you have this really bizarre experience when filming, because you're not one of the zombies are you?"

"No, no I'm not, no," Lennie replied. "Not yet, anyway."

"Ooh, spoiler!" Alex then said, only for Lennie to repeat: "No, not yet."

Um, does that mean that Morgan is about to become a Walker? We've already speculated that Morgan has to die in season eight – but not like this, AMC!

Of course, Lennie then went on to share a story highlighting the very strict measures that AMC has in place to ensure that no spoilers about the series can leak, so considering his first-hand experience in Walking Dead secret-keeping we doubt very much that Lennie would just let something like that slip so easily.

"When I came back they wanted to keep it secret," he explained of his surprise season three return.

"We film about 50 minutes outside of Atlanta, but they stuck me an hour and a half out of Atlanta. The people who ran the bed and breakfast had to sign a confidentiality agreement to promise that they wouldn't tell anyone I was staying with them."

As well as the B&B owners, Lennie explained that all the guests that were staying there at the time were all also sworn to secrecy, while he was taken to set in a van with blacked-out windows.

Thankfully, the broadcaster is keeping Lennie's jump to Fear a little less of a secret, but they have left us with the question of how Morgan will fit into the spin-off, which is still a few years behind The Walking Dead chronologically.

Luckily, we have some theories on that one for you too.

The Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US and on FOX and NOW TV in the UK, while Fear the Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US and BT TV in the UK.

The One Show continues weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
