Yahoo News Walking Dead cancels press tour after stuntman death
The Walking Dead will not have a panel at this summer's Television Critics Association tour, following the tragic death of stuntman John Bernecker.
According to Deadline, executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Robert Kirkman, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero, and showrunner Scott Gimple, will skip the panel to attend Bernecker's funeral.
The show's panel was due to take place tomorrow (July 29).
The Walking Dead's cast and crew returned to work on season eight last week, just days after production was temporarily shut down in Bernecker's memory.

John – who had worked as a stuntman for eight years – sadly died after falling more than 20 feet while rehearsing a "routine fall" on-set.
When the news first broke, Scott Gimple released a statement saying that both the cast and crew were "heartbroken" over the incident.
"John's work on The Walking Dead and dozens of other movies and shows will continue to entertain and excite audiences for generations," Gimple wrote.
"We are grateful for his contributions, and all of us send our condolences, love, and prayers to John's family and friends."

AMC, the network that airs the series in the US, said it was "deeply saddened" by Bernecker's unexpected death.
"Our hearts and prayers are with John's family, friends and colleagues during this extremely difficult time," they said in a statement.
The Walking Dead will air its 100th episode this autumn on AMC in the US and FOX in the UK.
