Scared Shitless, the new film starring The Walking Dead’s Steven Ogg, has released its quirky first trailer.

The horror film sees Ogg – who starred as Simon in The Walking Dead and its spin-off Dead City – play Don, a plumber who, along with his son Sonny (Daniel Doheny) are left grieving following the death of their respective wife and mother.

Sonny, a germaphobe whose anxieties have been heightened because of his trauma, tags along with his father for a routine plumbing job, but they soon find themselves in a battle as they come up against a terrifying creature – which hides in the toilet!

The bloody trailer shows the father and son heading to a seemingly cursed building, with the residents being plagued by a mysterious creature that seems to navigate via the pipes, causing no end of damage.

Though there is no UK release date for the film, Scared Shitless is set to premiere in the country at FrightFest on Monday (August 26), with the logline reading: “A wild creature feature touching on the universal fear of being attacked when most vulnerable... on the toilet!

“Plumber Don and Sonny, his germophobic son, are forced to care for each other after the death of Sonny's mom. To help Sonny overcome both his grief and fear, Don drags him on a routine house-call, where they encounter a plumber's worst nightmare.

“[There is] a bloodthirsty creature that’s swimming through the pipes, killing the building’s tenants in an increasingly grisly fashion. With the help of the night manager, Patricia, the team vows to stop the monster from escaping into the city's water system.”

Directed by Vivieno Caldinelli, the supporting cast also includes Chelsea Clark and Mark McKinney, with the film set to be an “80s-inspired creature feature tailor-made for both horror and comedy audiences.”

The Walking Dead aired on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
