Wall Cloud Looms in South Carolina Amid Tornado Warning

A large storm system moving across the southeastern United States triggered tornado warnings for parts of South Carolina on Thursday afternoon, March 25.

Chris Cannarozzo took footage of a storm cell in Fairfield County late Thursday afternoon in Winnsboro. According to reports, a fast-moving severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located in Clinton, west of Fairfield County.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Columbia had issued a tornado warning for Fairfield County Thursday afternoon. Strong thunderstorms would continue to affect the area through Friday, the NWS said. Credit: Chris Cannarozzo via Storyful
