If Walls Could Hiss: Snake Catcher Extracts Uncooperative Python

A carpet python in Strathpine, Queensland, found a nifty hiding spot by slithering into the exterior wall of a house, making it difficult to remove.

Snake catcher Joshua Castle spent some time wrestling the snake out of the wall. The struggle was captured on video and shared to his Facebook page, Brisbane North Snake Catcher – Josh’s Snake Catching.

“Full of muscle. He’s obviously wrapping himself around something in there,” Castle says at one point in the video. He eventually extracts the python from the hole in the wall.

Castle noted that usually when snakes are stuck behind walls, “we have to knock down or cut a hole in the wall” and that he was “extremely lucky to be able to reach in and just grab him.” Credit: Joshua Castle via Storyful
