Waltham Forest murder probe: Boy, 16, and woman, 35, arrested after man stabbed to death in north east London

A murder investigation has been launched after a 42-year-old man was stabbed to death in north east London.

Police officers found the victim suffering stab injuries at an address in Flaxen Road, Waltham Forest, around 4.40am on Friday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later.

A schoolboy, 16, and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and the man’s next of kin have been informed of his death.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing. At this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.”

The death came following an unrelated quadruple stabbing in Camberwell, south London, on Thursday evening amid a surge in knife violence in the capital.

Four men were stabbed in horrifying scenes on the Elmington Estate.

Four teenage boys, aged between 15 and 16, were rushed to hospital after being found suffering knife wounds near playing fields outside Landor House shortly before 5.30pm.

Police have asked for anyone with information about the Camberwell attacks to call Southwark CID by dialling 101 and quoting reference CAD 5391/16 AUG.

Anyone with any information to the Waltham Forest death, has also been urged to make contact with the police quoting CAD 0921/17 August or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
