Walthamstow stabbing: Man charged with murder after 24-year-old stabbed to death in north London


A man has been charged with murder after a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death and another wounded in Walthamstow.

Emergency services rushed to Bromley Road at 7.16pm on Thursday to reports of a fight.

A 24 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Oguzhan Altun, 29, was later arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.

He was charged on Saturday and will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The Met police said they believe they know the identity of the victim and are in contact with his family.

He will not be named before his formal identification on 23 December, they added.
