Tom, who has stage four glioblastoma, revealed to fans on Instagram that there has been a "significant reduction" in the size of the brain tumour and that he's "responding well" to treatment.
Alongside a photo of Tom with his wife and two children, the singer thanked the "wonderful NHS", the doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his family and friends for their ongoing support.
"SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION", he wrote. "These are the words I received today and I can't stop saying them over and over again. "I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment.
"Everyday I'm keeping on the fight to shrink this bastard!"
Paying tribute to healthcare staff, Tom added: "I can't thank our wonderful NHS enough. You're all having a tough time out there but we appreciate the work you are all doing on the front line."
After a message to his wife Kelsey and his "babies", Tom thanked followers for their "love, light and positivity".
"Every message has not been unnoticed they have given me so much strength," he said.
"This journey is a rollercoaster that's for sure. Today is a f**king good day".
May there be many more good days to come!
