Who Wants to be a Millionaire viewers were in stitches as they called out Jeremy Clarkson's habit on tonight's show. The 64-year-old was back as host for another edition of the ITV show.

The celebrity special saw Anton du Beke, Fred Sirieix and Roxy Shahidi aim to win money for charity. Fans pointed how Jeremy was in a surprisingly generous mood tonight as they claimed he helped the celebrities progress through some of the questions.

First Dates presenter Fred was second to take the challenge in tonight's episode but used the 50/50 lifeline on his first question: "Which of these is a method for staying afloat in a swimming pool?"

Roscoe said: "Jeremy helping again. Is he okay." The viewer added, alongside laughing emojis: "Jeremy breaking the rules on the £100 question."

Legen commented: "Why is Jeremy helping them tonight?? Calling Ofcom immediately." Oli added: "Jeremy liberal with his clues tonight."

Andi posted: "Jeremy is continually helping him." Laura said: "I’m sure Jeremy helped Fred with the answer to the first question??" Louise commented: "Lol...Jeremy just totally cheated giving Fred the first answer"

Marc said: "I love that Jeremy just told him the answer." Fans also pointed out that Jeremy was eager to help as it was for charity. Suzy posted: "I guess it’s for charity so Jeremy can help."

Fred put in an amazing performance and went away with £64,000, Roxy took £32,000 and Anton raised £1,000. However, the Strictly judge vowed to top up his donation with £15,000 of his own money.

Anton was asked: "Which Tony Award-winning musical features a mash-up called Elephant Love Medley?" He used many of his lifelines on the question and it was a 50/50 choice between The Book of Mormon and Moulin Rouge!. Anton gambled and went for The Book of Mormon.

However, the comedy musical from the creators of South Park was the incorrect answer. The judge had vowed to give £15,000 of his own money in the eventuality he got the wrong answer.

Viewers following the show on social media platform X were in disbelief after the decision and said Anton's deliberating before using the Ask the Audience lifeline influenced their decision. Joseph said: "OH WHAT THE HELL?? Anton, that was quite a costly error."
