Jeremy Clarkson has yet to crown a millionaire in the rebooted series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? but there's still time, as the iconic quiz show will be returning to ITV later this year.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? – which we'll be watching in a new light after cough-gate drama Quiz – will be back on air this autumn, ITV has confirmed.
Two years after the game show returned to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Clarkson will be back once more to ask contestants a set of 15 questions, with each correct answer taking them one step closer to that elusive £1,000,000 jackpot.
Millionaire's return will also bring with it a twist, as current social-distancing guidelines mean the show cannot be filmed with a live studio audience.
In a change to the series' lifelines, the new series will be scrapping its Ask the Audience option and replacing it with another Phone a Friend lifeline. The option to use '50:50' or Ask the Host will remain as usual.
Which is just as well for Jeremy, as the presenter recently admitted that he knew the answer to contestant Andrew Townsley's million pound question.
Back in May, Andrew phoned a friend on the final question after using his Ask the Host lifeline just one question earlier. Unfortunately for Andrew, his friend couldn't help with the all-important question and he ended up walking away with £500,000.
Still, half a million's not be sniffed at, is it?
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will return to ITV later this year.
