A person has died after being hit by a Victoria line train at Warren Street station.

Police and paramedics rushed to the busy London station shortly before 12.40pm on Monday.

The person, whose age and gender is not currently known, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The station was closed and Victoria line suspended between Victoria and Seven Sisters while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The station later re-opened but the entire line was running with severe delays.

One passenger at the scene described a huge emergency services presence outside the station after the incident.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family.

“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
