So, Warwick Davis and Ben from A1 are working together
Warwick Davis is teaming up with former A1 frontman Ben Adams.
The unlikely pairing are collaborating on a new West End musical called Eugenius, which debuts at London's The Other Palace Theatre on Monday, January 22.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain today (January 19), Ben revealed how the duo's union came about.
He said: "Myself and my co-writer decided we wanted to write a musical. We had certain people in mind to play some of the parts and there's a character in it called Evil Lord Hector, and we thought immediately of Warwick – I think that's because of some of his horror films that we watched growing up.
"So we thought, 'Wouldn't it be amazing if Warwick Davis could play this part?' We never thought that he would actually say yes. But he loved it so much that he didn't just play the part, he wanted to produce it as well. And that's how it all began."
Eugenius is set in the 1980s, and tells the tale of a teenage boy who wants to make a Hollywood comic book movie.
Ben added: "We grew up in the 1980s, so that's why it's so '80s inspired. We've been working on this for years. We just wanted to put everything we love about life and musicals into one big pot."
Star Wars and Harry Potter star Warwick was of course a teenager in the 1980s, and so is a huge fan of the production's music.
"It's all original songs inspired by the '80s," he said. "They're such fun to sing and perform."
Although he has taken on the role of producer, Warwick explained that he's been much more hands-on with the production of the show.
"It's quite a challenge you know, there's a lot more to producing than just counting the cash," Warwick added. "I'm involved in so many areas.
"A lot of it is very creative which I enjoy. I make decisions on how things should look."
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV. You can book tickets for Eugenius, which runs from January 22 to March 3, here.
