“Forget what you know, or think you know, and meet the young(er) cast of Willow. The Original Series is streaming in 2022 on #DisneyPlus,” the post said.

Davis is then seen on set, and tells viewers that Willow Ufgood was his “most popular role” and that the series will be out in 2022.

“We heard you diehard Willow fans, Willow-mongers…you get the idea, we are still workshopping fanbase names for that,” he said.

He then introduces viewers to actor Dempsey Bryk, mocking his name before he moves on to Amar Chadha-Patel.

He asks Chadha-Patel what it’s like to carry the torch for Willow fans and the actor quips: “There’s a movie of this? Who is in it?”

He then approaches Ellie Bamber and asks her to recount her experience of seeing Willow at the cinema for the first time, but the 24-year-old replies: “Oh... I wasn’t born.”

She asks if something will be done to make Davis look younger in the show and he jokes: “Some time has passed since the first movie and a huge part of this story is how good Willow looks for his age.

“Keep up Ellie - read the new pages!”
