Warwick Davis is reuniting with director Ron Howard on Star Wars' untitled Young Han Solo movie 30 years after they worked together on Willow.

The filmmaker revealed the exciting news on Twitter on Wednesday (July 26), in response to a fan question about the possibility of Willow 2 ever being made.

"I directed @WarwickADavis for the 1st time in 30 years today. It made me happy," Howard tweeted.

There's no word yet on who Warwick will be playing in the Han Solo prequel, but it will be the latest in a long string of supporting Star Wars roles throughout his career.

Of course, the actor's breakthrough was as the cuddly Ewok named Wicket in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi back in 1983, five years before Ron Howard and George Lucas cast him as the lead in Willow.

More recently, he had cameos as the smuggler Wollivan in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the rebel commando Weeteef Cyu-Bee in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and will soon appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Warwick was the second major Young Han Solo announcement of the day. Earlier on Wednesday, Lucasfilm confirmed that Academy Award-nominated Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon composer John Powell will score the film.

The untitled Young Han Solo movie will be released on May 25, 2018 in US and UK cinemas.
