WATCH Amy Schumer's Perfect One-Liner Wins The Red Carpet

Amy Schumer listed her tampon among what she was wearing on the Emmys Red carpet on Sunday night.

Her show, Inside Amy Schumer, picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Directing and was nominated for Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Sketch Series, as well as the star being recognised in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category.

Ahead of the ceremony, the 34-year-old comedian was interviewed beside her sister Kim Caramele on the red carpet and was asked the standard question every woman at these events endures: “Who are you wearing?”

Part of Amy’s charm is that she has absolutely no filter and without missing a beat, she said: “Vivienne Westwood [dress], Tom Ford shoes and an O.B. tampon!”

Later host Jimmy Kimmel found Amy in the audience and asked her to read out a note penned by his mother – who was making sandwiches for the crowd backstage.

Reciting from the piece of tissue, Amy said into the mic: “Dear Amy, you’re the funniest woman on Television, I wish you were hosting the Emmys this year, I’m your number one fan. Bring back ‘Parks & Recreation’.

Jimmy swiped the note from her hand and swiftly passed it to Amy… Poehler.
