Watch As Dog Is Rescued From A Sewer After Four Days Stuck Down There

This is the moment that a terrified Alsatian was rescued from a Buenos Aires sewer after being trapped for at least four days.

No one knows quite how the dog got down there in the first place, but locals called the authorities after spotting his head and paws sticking out.

They fed him and gave him water as they waited for a rescue to take place.

The Civil Defence Force teamed up with some local construction workers to get the dog out, which involved widening the hole.

You can see a police woman trying to keep the dog calm as a builder hammers around him in an effort to free him.

Finally the dog was released to cheers from the watching crowd and plenty of hugs for the relieved dog.

Authorities are now looking for a permanent home for the Alsatian - just as long as it hasn’t got any nooks or crannies for him to get wedged in.
