Watch: Deer crashes through windscreen of moving bus

Dashcam footage captured the moment a deer smashed through the windscreen of a moving bus and startled the passengers inside.

In the video, the animal can be seen suddenly emerging onto a busy road in Rhode Island, America before leaping into the path of the bus.

A second angle showing inside the bus shows the deer flying straight through the vehicle’s windscreen, sending shards of broken glass everywhere, and landing on the floor beside a passenger.

Two out of the six passengers onboard were treated in hospital for injuries caused by the flying glass.

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority said the incident on Monday was “unexpected” and released footage to the public.

“On Monday, a deer unexpectedly ran into a RIPTA bus travelling on Warwick Avenue in the City of Warwick,” Christopher Durand, RIPTA’s interim chief executive said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
