Qualifying for the F1 French Grand Prix takes place on Saturday afternoon around the Circuit Paul Ricard.

The venue has produced three consecutive race winners from pole position in the three GPs held in Le Castellet since its return to the Formula One calendar.

Max Verstappen won a thrilling battle with Lewis Hamilton last year and can expect a major challenge from Ferrari this weekend, the Scuderia having won each of the last two races.

Charles Leclerc is hoping to gather serious momentum behind his title bid as we officially enter the second half of the season.
