WATCH: Furious Driver Batters Car During Road Rage Row

This is the terrifying moment an angry driver leapt from his car and raced across the road to batter another vehicle with his fists.

The astonishing dashcam footage shows the furious motorist attempting to rip open the door of Mark Evans’s car as he sits at a red light.

But when this proves unsuccessful, he begins pummelling the vehicle with his fists, then attempts to smash through the car window.

The terrifying moment followed an earlier incident in Stockport, Greater Manchester, when the driver allegedly undertook Mark’s Kia on the A6, almost smashing into the side of it.

Mark, an insurance broker, then instinctively beeped his horn.

He said: ‘If he’d gotten into the car I think he would have hospitalised me.

‘He was that filled with rage he wouldn’t have thrown just one punch at me. He felt like that sort of person who wouldn’t have known when to stop - he lost complete control of himself.’

Mark also alleges that an earlier incident saw the driver getting out of his car and approaching him, before his passenger spat at Mark’s vehicle.

He then returned to his car and slowly drove in front of Mark at 15 miles an hour.

Mark said: ‘I kept my distance as I was concerned they might start slamming on the brakes and try and cause an accident.

‘A mile up the road the traffic lights were changing. They managed to get through while I was first in the queue at the traffic lights - that’s when the video starts.’

Mark says he’s now scared of driving home on the same route - but plans to report the incident to police.

‘He had this mad look in his eye and he was so aggressive which was quite intimidating, especially as I knew there was at least one other guy with a half empty bottle of drink who could have joined in’, he added.

‘I didn’t stop and get out as I wanted to get as far away from him as possible as quickly as possible and I didn’t want him to see where I lived.

‘I’ll probably drive home a different route tonight as I don’t want that to happen again.’
