Dashcam footage has captured the moment a terraced house exploded in a street in east London.

Debris can be seen hurtling through the air from the force of the explosion and showering rubble on to cars parked below the two-storey property on Ley Street, Ilford.

Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines were called on to tackle the blaze which erupted at 4.10pm on Tuesday.

The explosion was captured on film by a nearby driver who shared the footage on Instagram.
