Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will deliver remarks from Wall Street in New York City Tuesday focused on the GOP’s agenda under a potential second Trump administration.

He made similar remarks last month outlining a plan for the first 100 days if former President Trump wins in November — a plan that assumes Republicans will win unified control of government in 2025. His proposal included pitching Senate Republicans on using an obscure budget procedure known as reconciliation to enact major conservative legislation in order to overcome opposition from Democrats and bypass the Senate filibuster.

The event comes just under a week after lawmakers narrowly passed a stopgap bill to avert a government shutdown, punting another spending fight until just before the holidays.

His remarks in New York City are scheduled for 4:40 p.m. EDT.
