Luke Littler hit a stunning nine darter en route to winning the Premier League Darts in his first ever year in the competition.

The Manchester teenager got his revenge over rival and fellow tournament debutant Luke Humphries - who defeated him in the finals of the PDC World Championships earlier in the year - by making light work off his opponent to win the title with a 11-7 scoreline. At one point, the scores was deadlocked at 5-5, with neither player able to seize the initiative.

But in the very next leg, the "Nuke" sent the London crowd into a frenzy with a superb nine darter that saw him then go onto claim the Premier League crown at a canter. After racing into a 10-7 lead, the teenage sensation was left to dispatch a double 20 to wrap up the victory and continue his meteoric rise in the sport of darts.

Littler is known for his interactions with the crowd and was more than happy to poke fun at those who wrote him off. He told Sky Sports: "One thing I just want to say - to all the doubters, hello! I've just picked up this! You're not doubting me any more. It's so good to win in front of my family, my girlfriend and my manager. I don't know what to do!

"I've hit a nine-darter on the World Series and so did Phil [Taylor] - now I've hit one in the final here and so did he. I'm just enjoying it. I've been practicing really hard and you can probably see it on the oche. I was dead focused, I didn't want to blink.

"I'm a major winner, I can put myself in that hat now - I can't wait to go to New York next week and after that I'll have to have a week off in Orlando.I can't wait to play in all the events. I've done so well on the Euro Tour and Pro Tour that I'm guaranteed to be in the Matchplay and Grand Prix.

On runner-up Luke Humphries, he added: "We'll meet in many finals - and now it's 1-1 in finals!"
