This mesmerising drone video shows a school of blacktip sharks hunting a shoal of fish just metres from the shore.

Paul Dabill, 46, was flying his drone over the Atlantic Ocean hoping to see some wildlife when he spotted the feeding frenzy close to the beach.

Restaurant owner Paul, from Jupiter, Palm Beach County, Florida, said: "Blacktip sharks migrate along the coast this time of year so it's pretty common to see them.

"Bluefish also regularly swim in schools along the coast this time of year. I was excited to capture the blacktip sharks attacking the school of bluefish."

Blacktip sharks grow to about 5ft in length and can weigh between 30kg and 100kg, but do not pose a serious threat to humans.

Large schools, or slivers, will often form along Florida coasts in the winter as they migrate southward to deeper waters.

The footage was filmed at 4pm on March 17 just metres off Juno Beach, Florida, USA.
