Watch British Firework Championships live

The British Firework Championships are back and the skies above Plymouth are set to ignite in a series of dazzling light displays. Six companies will battle it out over the next two nights to be crowned winner of the British Firework Championships 2024 in front of an expected audience of 100,000 people.

Tonight's displays will launch at 9.30pm, 9.50pm and 10.10pm and this evening's competitors include Anytime Fireworks, Celestial Firework Displays and BBB Fireworks.

If you aren't able to make it onto Plymouth Hoe tonight to catch the annual competition, or are otherwise staying inside for the night, you can catch each firework display online via Visit Plymouth's Facebook or YouTube account. The livestream will air from 9pm and we will drop a link into this story as soon as we go live.

Of course, there is plenty to do if you are up on the Hoe this evening. The displays don't begin until around 9.30pm but there is the usual array of fairground rides, food trucks and live music to keep busy with until then.

The fairground and food trucks open from 2pm each day, with live music starting at 5pm. On the main stage, there will be live performances from King Dinosaur, Black Friday, Freshly Squeezed, Hayward, The Cabarats and The Native, with summer tunes by CASA DJs in the build-up and between acts.

There will even be fire performers and stilt walkers entertaining families. Visit Plymouth says: "Step into a world of wonder and enchantment with Higher Beings Circus and marvel at flare of the fire performers and the grace and agility spectacle of the stilt walkers at British Firework Championships! Catch the fire performances at 7pm and 8.30pm on the Hoe promenade and roaming stilt walkers from 8pm."
