Watch: Pokémon Go Players In City Stampede To Catch Rare Snorlax
Gotta catch ‘em all.
And as this clip proves, there are a lot of people trying to catch ‘em.
If you were in any doubt about the popularity of Pokémon Go and needed video evidence of the mobile game’s grip on the planet, then check out this footage.
It shows thousands - yes, thousands - of gamers sprinting through the streets of the Taiwanese capital of Taipei in an effort to track down an elusive Pokémon.
Footage captured on a mobile phone shows the stampede of people down a busy city thoroughfare, ignoring traffic in their bid to catch the Pokémon.
The stampede was sparked by news that a Snorlax was hiding down a street near Beitou Park.

One commenter said on Reddit: “This place is insane.
“Due to it being such a great spot for POGO, traffic is at a standstill and people can’t sleep at night because a Dragonite spawned in their tiny street, and thousands of people try to cram into it.”

They added: “We all go to Beitou Park because where else would we go?
“We don’t want to cram thousands of people into one area, but we have to. I feel bad for the residents and tourists.”
Another wrote: “I live in Taiwan. And people get up in the midnight to play Pokémon Go. It’s crazy.”
