Ross Barkley may not have played a single minute of Premier League football this season, but it seems the new Chelsea midfielder is ready to be unleashed in the top flight.

The 24-year-old suffered a serious hamstring injury at the beginning of the season, which forced him to miss six months of action at his former club Everton.

Now fully recovered from the injury and at Chelsea, Barkley has seemingly settled into the swing of things by showing Antonio Conte and, indeed, Blues fans what he can offer the club.

In a video published on his Instagram account on Friday, Barkley was seen firing in a superb volley in training.

The fine goal at Cobham certainly suggests the midfielder is eager to get back into action - which could come as early as next week.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said on Friday that Barkley isn't 100 per cent fit yet, but could be handed his debut when Chelsea host Norwich in their FA Cup third-round replay next Wednesday.

And Chelsea fans will probably be hoping that they see a goal or two like this one from Barkley if he plays at Stamford Bridge next week...
