Did you ever create fictional scenarios in your head to explain why your Spider-Man action figures were fighting against your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ones? We know you did, don't lie. And, you know what? That's fine. You're among friends here.

While Disney have been buying up all your favourite intellectual properties and making childhood dreams come true by bringing characters like Thor and Doctor Strange to life, we think they're maybe missing a trick by not really mashing up any of their franchises together.

Luckily, YouTube channel Nukazooka has created the fan film you're looking for, showing what would happen if Star Wars' wheezy sand hater Darth Vader took on Toy Story's deluded space ranger Buzz Lightyear in live-action combat.

And it's awesome.

Fan films are known for running the gamut (what a phrase) from 'oh my god I wanna do that give me a camera right now' to 'oh my god I want a lobotomy to remove that from my brain' and this is definitely at the end of the spectrum where you want to be.

The camerawork, flow of pacing, editing and especially music choices are all excellent, and the ending is just too cute. Also, Chase Rackley, who plays Darth Vader, did a damn good job at the voice too.

If there's one nitpick, we'd say the Darth Vader costume is a little bit 'fancy dress' but then again we're the kind of people who get really irritated when you can see David Prowse's eyes through the mask in the Blu-ray/Digital HD versions of A New Hope.

Come on George, of all the Special Edition changes you made for continuity (and other reasons known only to yourself), why didn't you just tint his eye things just a little bit darker?!

Told you you were among friends.

Also: Disney, if you're reading, we know this kind of thing is possible in Disney Infinity but if you don't do something like this in live-action for reals then at least put both Vader and Buzz in Kingdom Hearts III.

Please and thank you.
