Watch: Tiny Dog Chases Away Three Bears

A pet dog has chased away three bears who wandered into a back garden in Monrovia, California.

The confrontation between the brave dog and the bears was captured on CCTV installed at the house.

The footage shows the dog charging down some stairs and chasing the one-year-old bears around, before one of them jumps over a fence.

The pet's owner said bears and other wild animals began wandering into neighbourhood homes after fire affected food sources in nearby bushland.

The owner said he was proud of his puppy's actions.

"It blew me away. I couldn't believe that she turned into a wolverine," he said.
