Watch: This woman sums up everyone's reaction to another general election

Now that Theresa May has called for a snap general election, the country is once again getting ready to vote.

However, not everyone is over the moon about heading to the ballot box on June 8.

While Tory supporters will be chomping at the bit to vote for a thumping Conservative majority, some voters have simply had enough.

While out reporting on this morning’s shock events, BBC reporter Jon Kay took to the streets of Bristol and told one local – named Brenda – about Mrs May’s announcement.

And it’s fair to say that Brenda was not best pleased.

Reacting with horror, she said: “You’re joking, not another one!”

She added: “Oh for God’s sake, honestly, I can’t stand this.

“There’s too much politics going on at the moment. Why does she need to do it?”

Brenda may still have the slim hope of getting her way – MPs have to vote this week whether to have a general election.

Parliament must vote two thirds in favour of the vote after the Fixed Terms Parliament Act, introduced in 2010, took the power away from the Prime Minister to call elections.
