Water Breaches Bridge Amid Record Flooding in Central Ohio

Flooding in central Ohio’s Franklin County submerged a bridge and overtook a car, a video posted by local police shows.

Video uploaded by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office shows an abandoned car, with a door ajar, in the middle of a flooded bridge.

The sheriff’s office wrote on Twitter, “It takes only 12 inches of rushing flood water to carry away most vehicles. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that more than half of all flood-related drownings happen when a vehicle is driven into flood water. Please be safe!”
