Water Gushes Down Spillway as California Reservoir Overflows

California’s Anderson Reservoir began overflowing for the first time in over 10 years on the weekend of Sunday, February 17, creating a waterfall as huge volumes of water cascaded down the spillway.

Renewed heavy downpours in the Bay Area overnight Sunday into Monday, February 20, come on top of a month of unusually high rainfall that has brought flooding to extensive areas of the drought-stricken state.
