London foodies, pop the Waterloo Food Month in your calender. From June 28 to July 27, it'll be celebrating all things edible in SE1.

The month long event will feature a wide range of festivities including a charity banquet, music evenings and night markets.

Here’s a run down of what's on.

A 'Flavours of Waterloo' street party on Lower Marsh will kick off the festivities from 5–9pm. Expect street food vendors offering treats from all over the world, from Thailand to Mexico. Footie fans can also catch the England vs Belgian World Cup match on the big outdoor screen.

Sunday jazz

Enjoy an evening of jazz every Sunday throughout July at the Eastern European restaurant Baltic. There will be ample dumplings and vodka to gorge on too.

Is Your Diet Making You Fat?

Join campaigners, bloggers and professionals for a debate on dieting at the Young Vic Theatre from 6.30pm. The event is chaired by Becky Young, founder of The Anti-Diet Riot Club and a campaign against diet culture that instead promotes self-love and body acceptance.

Oasis Hub, the people behind the Waterloo Foodbank, are hosting a charity food banquet to mark the end of the month. Guests are set to enjoy three courses made entirely from ingredients found in food parcels.
