Waterspout Spotted in Malta During Bout of Wet Weather
A British tourist was shocked to see a waterspout during his stay in Malta on Friday, September 20, amid severe weather, including heavy rain, in the region.
This footage was filmed by Neil Appleby, who said he filmed it from Sliema on Friday afternoon local time. Appleby said he thought the spout formed near the country’s capital city of Valletta.
More rainfall was expected in Malta and the surrounding area on Friday, before a “respite” on Saturday, according to local reports. Credit: Neil Appleby via Storyful
