Waterspout Swirls Off Florida's St George Island

Luke Hunnewell sat in awe as he witnessed his first waterspout off Florida’s gulf coast on Tuesday, July 9.

Hunnewell is the Director of Infrastructure for WeatherSTEM, a weather-tracking company that operates a station on the St George Island Bridge. Hunnewell had been visiting the station to make repairs after it took a direct hit from a lightning bolt on Saturday, WeatherSTEM said.
