Waves Crash on Long Island as Thunderstorms Sweep Northeast

Strong winds battered New York’s Suffolk County as storms swept across the northeast on Monday, November 30, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

The NWS issued a high wind warning for Suffolk County as forecasters predicted wind speeds of 25 to 35 mph, with some gusts reaching 60 mph. A tornado watch was also issued for several northeastern states, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
