Favorable weather conditions aided firefighters in getting a 30,000-hecatre wildfire under control in Zamora in northwest Spain on June 19, according to local news outlet La Opinion de Zamora.
As well as Zamora, fires also ignited in Catalonia and Navarre last week as a record-breaking early season heatwave swept across the country.
Footage released by the Spanish defense ministry on Sunday shows firefighters working to put out a forest fire in Navarre.
