We seem to have been looking at the same grey skies for weeks now but as the working week gets underway there's a period of change on the way.

After a bright day on Sunday, Monday will see a cooler start with some early morning frost possible and temperatures of between 1C and 3C, and a high of just 10C up in the north coast.

Conditions will be mainly dry with variable cloud but the afternoon could be the best of the day as there are sunnny spells with temperatures in and around 12C. Night time temperatures will dip again with Tuesday set to be a fine day.

Here's what the Met Office have to say:

Monday:

It will be a dry and much brighter day with sunny spells and light winds. Maximum temperature 10C.

Tuesday to Thursday:

Mainly dry, settled weather for much of this period. There will be sunny spells by day but overnight fog patches will be slow to clear.
