What the weather has in store via the Isle of Wight Met Service

Expect temperatures around 30°C this weekend, according to the Isle of Wight Met Service.

The local forecaster says "a sharp turn upwards" is expected when it comes to temperatures over the next few days and heatwave conditions are forecast.

It is likely we will get dry weather with very high temperatures at times, said Jamie Russell.

What will the Isle of Wight weather be like this week?



Today (Wednesday) will be cloudy but 'fairly pleasant' with temperature of 21-23°C and a moderate northwesterly becoming southwesterly breeze.

Thursday will see more sunshine and temperatures of 23-25°C.

On Friday, expect some fine, dry weather, says Jamie, with the mercury hitting 25-27°C.

Saturday will be 'very warm' and will feel 'rather hot' in places. Temperatures of 26-28°C are on the cards.

Sunday will be very warm with long sunny spells. Temperatures of 26-28°C in a light becoming moderate south to southwesterly breeze



Isle of Wight weather outlook for next week

Next week, Jamie says temperatures in the high 20’s or even low 30’s celsius are expected and it could be higher.
