The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Norfolk.
The warning is in place for the entire region from 5pm on Thursday until 11am on Friday.
Rain and wintry showers will lead to icy patches developing on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Some roads and railways will also likely be affected with longer journey times expected.
Drivers are advised to take care on the roads and to avoid travelling in heavy snow and icy conditions where possible.
The Met Office has also warned of the possibility of injuries due to slips and falls on icy surfaces.
Temperatures have plummeted as a cold north-easterly wind brings Arctic air down from Scandinavia.
This will continue through the week with overnight temperatures remaining below freezing heading into the weekend.
The Met Office has forecast heavier snow across Norfolk towards the end of the week as the cold front meets an area of low pressure moving in from the southwest.
