Weather Warnings as Strong Winds Hit Donegal

Strong winds were recorded in Burtonport, Co Donegal, early on Friday, December 7. The Irish meteorological service, Met Eireann, had issued a yellow warning for the area and other western counties, running from late Thursday into Friday.

The Road Safety Authority of Ireland also issued a weather warning, stating: “Southwest winds will reach mean wind speeds between 55-65 km/h, with gusts of 90-110 km/h during the period, strongest near coasts.”
