As a new week begins, drivers will need to plan their journeys around another batch of overnight closures across Kent’s major motorways and A-roads. Notably, the M2 will see back-to-back weeknight closures over the coming days.

The westbound carriageway will shut between Junction 2 near Rochester and the A2 Darenth junction every night this week between 8pm and 6am, starting from Monday, July 8. This is to allow surface works to be completed along this stretch of the motorway.

Meanwhile, the M25 will see closures once more on the anti-clockwise carriageway this week. Again as last week, this will be taking place overnight at Junction 3 between the entry and exit slip roads for parapet works.

The disruptive closure of the Kingsferry Bridge between Sittingbourne and Sheppey came to an end on Sunday, July 7, alleviating some of the pressure currently being experienced on Swale’s roads as three separate projects are completed. However, Kingsferry Bridge will be closing for the entirety of the coming weekend, further details on which can be found here.

KentLive has rounded up all of the works impacting travel on the county’s vital motorways and A-roads that will be taking place this week. You can find more details of roadworks on the One.Network site.
