US President Joe Biden introduced his new four-legged family member to the world on December 20, tweeting a wholesome video of his new puppy, Commander.
The video shows the German shepherd pup running after a tennis ball thrown by the president, receiving pets, and walking on a lead. The video is captioned, “Meet the newest Biden.”
In June, the Bidens’ 13-year-old German shepherd Champ died. The first family’s other German shepherd, Major, has been sent to live “in a quieter environment with family friends,” Michael LaRosa, a spokesman for Jill Biden, said. Major had been sent for training after a biting incident back in March. Credit: President Biden via Storyful
