'We'll be back!' - Frankie & Benny's defiant as Festival Park branch shuts today
Restaurant chain Frankie & Benny's is 'actively looking for nearby locations' - as its Festival Park branch shuts for good this weekend. The branch opened in 2007 after replacing Fatty Arbuckles.
But it shuts for good at 5pm on Sunday, September 22. It follows the end of its lease.
A Frankie & Benny's spokesman said: “We are saddened to announce the closure of our popular Stoke-on-Trent restaurant which will reluctantly close on September 22. Unfortunately the lease on this restaurant expired and despite our best efforts new terms could not be agreed.

“We would like to thank our loyal teams who have done an amazing job and where possible have been offered positions at nearby restaurants. This particular restaurant was in operation for many years and loved by our guests but don’t worry, we are actively looking for nearby locations and will be back soon.”
Frankie & Benny's retains its Trentham Estate restaurant. But its Hanley branch never reopened following the first wave of the coronavirus lockdowns.
