'We'll bounce back' - Top Nosh issues statement after fire 'engulfs' takeaway
The owners of a fire-hit takeaway are 'truly lost' after a blaze 'engulfed the whole shop'. Firefighters from three stations were called out to Top Nosh, in Clayton, on Saturday morning.
During the height of the incident the row of shops on Cambridge Drive was taped off as fire crews battled the blaze. Now the owners of the takeaway have heaped praise on the response from the community - as they aim to 'bounce back from this tragic event'.
In a post on the business' Facebook page, the owners said the fire began at 11.30am on Saturday.

It reads: "To all our esteemed customers, unfortunately at around 11.30am we had an electrical fire which spread and engulfed our whole shop. We are deeply saddened by the turn of events and are truly lost.
"We want to thank everyone in our community that acted fast and called out the fire service - and everyone that came down to check on us. We at Top Nosh Clayton are a family business and we lived to serve our community. We will do everything in our power to bounce back from this tragic event."
At the weekend Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews from Newcastle, Hanley and Longton, were called to a 'large fire in a commercial building'. We are awaiting a statement from the service.
