'We'll Never Forget': Zelensky Praises UK for Standing by Ukraine as He Meets Foreign Secretary

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country would “never forget” the UK standing by Ukraine during the Russian invasion, as he met UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly in Kyiv on November 25.

Posting video of the meeting on Telegram, Zelensky said, “Great Britain stands by Ukraine at this crucial time for us. We will never forget this. I am grateful to Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom James Cleverly for the visit!”

During his visit, Cleverly announced the UK would be providing an additional £3 million support to the Partnership Fund for a Resilient Ukraine in order to rebuild vital local infrastructure in the country ahead of winter. Credit: Volodymyr Zelensky via Storyful
