Welsh Woman's Isolating Parents Pass Her Money for Daily Paper Via Shoehorn

A Welsh woman’s daily visits to her elderly parents at their home in Penydarren, Wales, from March 18 to 21 show an ingenious way for people to pass money while social distancing, as a shoehorn emerges from the door’s mail slot with a coin on it.

Melanie Lewis shared footage of daily life with her parents, Frances and Bill, amid the coronavirus pandemic, as she gets them goods such as milk and newspapers.

The charming family’s interactions – including Frances giving Melanie money for the paper via a shoehorn emerging from the mail slot – received thousands of likes after Lewis posted them on Facebook.

Melanie told Storyful, that both her parents have underlying health conditions and have been “self-isolating for two weeks.” Speaking of the events in the video, Lewis continued to say, “we are taking the situation very seriously, but trying our best to keep our sense of humor.”
