Martyn had a prolific social media presence, previously winning Come Dine With Me and gaining thousands of followers due to his brilliant sense of humour and fun-loving lifestyle.

The 29-year-old TV fan and PR professional was a follower of The Wendy Williams Show, and was supposed to be an audience member on Monday and Tuesday’s shows.

The blogger had apparently booked the “trip of a lifetime” to America with his closest friends.

In honour of his memory, Wendy left an empty chair in the audience and tearily offered her condolences to those close to him.

“Oh my god, this is so crazy. [Martyn] was supposed to be in our Wendy audience yesterday and today,” the 52-year-old presenter said in the piece.

“He saved for two years to have a fabulous time in New York and come to our show… he is remembered as a man who loved life – with passion, courage and laughter.”

The solemn host concluded: “So Martyn, in honour of you we are keeping that chair open. And our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.”

Mariah Carey, another one of Martyn’s idols, also paid her respects on Instagram, writing to her Lambs: “Devastated to learn that one of the victims in Manchester was part of the #Lambily.

“RIP Martyn Hett. We will cherish your memory forever. His family and all the families affected are in my thoughts and prayers. MC”

Ariana Grande’s fans were leaving her sold out concert at Manchester Arena when suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated the homemade nail bomb.

The star has cancelled a string of her remaining tour dates, jetting home to the US in “hysterics” after tweeting that she has been left “broken” by the attack.

The 23-year-old popstar has since announced she will be holding a benefit concert “in honour of and to raise money for the victims and their families.”

The One Love Manchester show will take place at Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground on Sunday June 4.
