Wendy's Sign Crushes Neighboring Taco Bell After Severe Thunderstorm Hits North Texas
The sign for a Wendy’s restaurant crashed through the roof of a neighboring Taco Bell in Gainesville, Texas, on July 20, amid a severe thunderstorm, according to local reports.
This video recorded by Colleen Hammond shows the extent of the damage at the restaurant. “You can see inside, where it’s just crashed all the way in,” Hammond is heard saying in the video.
Local TV station KXII reported that “three employees and three customers were in the restaurant at the time, but Gainesville Fire said no one was injured.”
Hammond told Storyful, “I spoke with the employees briefly. They were a bit stoic and not talkative. Probably in a bit of shock.” Credit: Colleen Hammond via Storyful
