'We were operating in the dark' - MP Greg Clark on pandemic lessons report

Tory MP Greg Clark, who chairs the Commons Science and Technology Committee, told BBC Breakfast that the UK was “not the only country that made mistakes” during the pandemic. He added that the failure to implement an earlier lockdown was a “consensus decision – it wasn’t that the Government went against the scientific advice, or that there was some great row about it. Everyone agreed that this was the right thing to do."
